A 1940s Mido Multi-Centerchrono, one of the more interesting mid-century chronographs in terms of both layout and case pedigree. This example features its untouched original copper two-tone pulsometer dial, with the chronograph seconds and minutes tracked centrally—keeping the dial beautifully balanced and clean while still packing in real functionality. At 35mm in stainless steel, it wears with that perfect vintage proportion, sporty but still very much a dressable chrono.
The case was made by François Borgel (later Taubert & Fils), the legendary case maker behind Patek Philippe’s ref. 1463, and you see that lineage in the sharp lines and signature ribbed pushers. The original lume remains intact, the bracelet is a vintage Mido stainless example, and the watch is in great overall condition with only a few minor dings to the case as shown. A genuinely uncommon pulsometer variant of an already distinctive chronograph.
