FAQ
How do you ship?
All orders are shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx at the customer’s discretion. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout through Shopify based on your location, chosen service, and package details.
By default, items are shipped uninsured, with the option at checkout to add shipping insurance for an additional cost.
For orders exceeding $2,000, packages will be shipped fully insured at no additional cost to you.
If you have any questions regarding shipping options or insurance, feel free to reach out via email or Instagram DM before completing your purchase.
Does Galleries Vintage accept returns?
For United States–based orders, if a watch arrives and it is not as described or there is a major discrepancy between what was advertised/communicated by Galleries Vintage and what you received, you may request a return within two (2) days of receiving the item.
To be eligible for a return under these circumstances:
-
The watch must be in the same condition as received.
-
It must not have been worn, used, damaged, altered, opened, or tampered with in any way.
-
We reserve the right to withhold funds until the watch is received and inspected.
A 6% restocking fee will be applied to approved returns.
In all other cases, sales are final.
Galleries Vintage is not able to accept returns for any orders shipped outside of the United States. All international orders are subject to local customs/duties fees, which the customer assumes upon import. Galleries Vintage does not cover customs or duty fees.
Can I leave a hold or deposit?
You may request to place a hold on a piece by contacting Galleries Vintage directly.
To proceed with a hold:
-
A non-refundable deposit of 15% of the total price of the watch is required.
-
If the remaining balance is not received within 48 hours, the hold will be released and the deposit will not be refunded.
Do you accept payment plans or layaway?
Galleries Vintage does not offer in-house payment plans or layaway.
Any installment or “pay over time” options available (such as Shop Pay, Affirm, etc.) are solely those offered at checkout through our website and are subject to the terms of those third-party providers.
How do you verify the authenticity and condition of your watches?
We personally guarantee the authenticity, condition, and functionality of each watch sold through Galleries Vintage.
Spending a significant amount of time handling vintage watches and carefully curating each piece, we have the experience to:
-
Confirm authenticity to the best of our ability
-
Accurately describe details, originality, and notable characteristics
-
Explain what makes a piece historically or collectors’-significant
We also describe the working order and condition of each watch as accurately as possible. However, due to the nature of vintage timepieces, all watches are sold as-is unless a warranty or otherwise is explicitly stated in the listing.
Any watch sold with a stated warranty in its listing is covered for the accuracy of the movement and timekeeping from the date of sale, for the duration specified. This warranty does not cover misuse, shock, water damage, accidental damage, or unauthorized modifications.
